Did you know? The Marder III series comprised German tank destroyers during World War II. These vehicles were armed with either the adapted ex-Soviet 76.2 mm F-22 Model 1936 divisional field gun or the German 7.5 cm PaK 40, positioned in an open-topped fighting compartment atop the Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis. Although they provided minimal crew protection, they delivered substantial firepower in contrast to contemporary German tanks. Production spanned from 1942 to 1944, and they remained in active service on all fronts until the war’s conclusion.
