Did you know? The 75mm Pak 39 L/48 gun mounted on the Jagdpanzer 38 underwent modifications from the 75mm StuK 40 L/48 gun found in the StuG III and StuG IV assault vehicles. Equipped with this cannon, the Jagdpanzer 38 gained the capability to effectively eliminate a wide range of Allied and Soviet tank models from a distance, excluding the heavy tanks. Moreover, the enclosed armor of the Jagdpanzer 38 provided enhanced safety for its crew compared to the open-roofed designs seen in the Marder II or Marder III series.
