Did you know?

Between 1939 and 1942, two additional combat versions of the Panzer I were created. However, by this point, the concept was overshadowed by medium and heavy tanks, and neither variant saw significant production to significantly affect the war’s course. These new tanks, bearing only the name, had no resemblance to the Ausf. A or B. One of them, the Panzer I Ausf. C, resulted from a collaborative effort between Krauss-Maffei and Daimler-Benz in 1939, aiming to deliver a well-armored and armed reconnaissance light tank.
