Did you know?

The Wespe demonstrated reliability and excellent maneuverability. However, similar to its contemporary self-propelled artillery counterparts like the British Sexton and the U.S. M7 Priest, it lacked sufficient protection for the gun crew from overhead threats.[1] Despite being a smaller target compared to these allied vehicles, the Wespe had a smaller ammunition capacity due to its choice of a smaller chassis, which was determined by the limited production capacity for larger ones.
